IRPRESUNIV.ORG, CIKARANG – Commemorating Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledges) Day, a movie screening of “Merah Putih Memanggil” was conducted. This activity was participated by community, Keluarga Besar TNI (KBT), Tokoh Pemuda (TODA), and Tokoh Agama (TOGA). It was held in Cinema XX Orange County Cikarang, Bekasi, Sunday(29/10), and hosted by KODIM 0509/Kab. Bekasi, KORAMIL 04/Babelan.
The movie “Merah Putih Memanggil” is about a story of a rescue effort by Indonesian Special Forces (Kopassus) personnel, to save hostages which have taken captive by terrorists. The movie was directed by Mirwan Suwarso and produced by Jose S Karyadi. While the scenario was written by former Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform TB Silalahi who is also retired General of TNI.
With the thrilling storyline and many scenes that show the cooperative efforts as well as togetherness within the Indonesian army, “Merah Putih Memanggil” depicts that being a personnel of TNI, one have to be solid and sincere to serve the nation and state, prioritizing the public interest above the personal interests, inspiring the viewers to build togetherness despite diversity. The movie also shows the viewers the current image of the TNI, where TNI is already equipped with adequate armament equipment, coupled with highly tested personnel capabilities, to ensure state security.
